The Korean government requested BNB Solution to develop a USB security solution because it has felt a need to establish measures about the USB security.  

BNB Solution has completed the development of security UBS and security solution, SeProS, using know-how related to encryption equipments for the national telecommunication network.

The SeProS security USB is formatted security area and general area, basically, security area is hidden by exclusive controller chips and has developed an exclusive file system which is not compatible with commercial Operating Systems like windows, linux and etc, maximizing security to prevent leakage of stored data, even in case the security USB is lost.  

In illegal situations, confidential data can't be leaked out because all stored data is encrypted and nobody can access to the security USB without the authentication of the SeProS management server.

The following concerns the major constituents of SeProS. 

SeProS consists of a SeProS server, agent program, a security USB and biometric devices, and the SeProS system can be installed to the intranet or extranet in the same way.  

In addition, SeProS controls USB drives, HDD, FDD, CD-ROM, network, IEEE1394, parallel ports.  

First, the server executes jobs regarding registration, certification and deletion of users and USB devices, biometric devices and cutting off access of unregistered USB devices.  

As the unregistered USB devices can't be used in users' computer, illegal leakage of data will be completely blocked.  

Also, security policies can be categorized depending on individual and groups. 

When the security USB gets lost and is registered to the server as lost, the SeProS server can trace the PC IP and Mac address of illegal users.

As used logs are stored in the server, logs enable to manage records with regard to confidential data leakage.

Second, the agent program is installed in the user computer and after installation, it can't be forcibly deleted and its processes can't be suspended by users.

The agent program uses an exclusive file explorer and has secured superior security by encrypting all data to be stored in the security USB.

As data which is encrypted can't be decrypted without the server certification and agent program, there is no need to be concerned regarding data leakage, even when the security USB gets lost.

Third, the security USB has an auto-run function. When the security USB is plugged in the computer, the agent program is automatically executed and requests server certification.

If the security USB failed to authorize more than five times consecutively after being plugged in the computer, all data stored in the security USB will be completely deleted irrespective of online or offline and the security USB can't be used anymore.

Security USB which is approved to be taken out can be used with the stand-alone certification in offline.

If it is used in offline, use logs are stored in the security USB. Then, it plugs in the computer connected to SeProS server, all log data transfer to the SeProS server automatically.

An administrator can work visibly and effectively depending on the manager programs which have been materialized as a web.

Due to this, it is easy to measure effects because administrator can review statistic data on the situations of use of the security USB.

User who wants to use the SeProS system should do the first user registration and register the security USB and biometric devices through their computer.
